These winds know my name
For years they have howled
Many aethers have they roamed
Many leaves have they mourned
On through the night, relentless cries
To their chilling choir, jagged branches sway
The great chimes of Aquilon entrance my soul
The threnody of winter seeps through the pines
Like the echoed whispers
Cried by dryads of the fen
From the citadels of bark
The winds call my name
They know my name...
Rising into the sky
Through the nights
Breath of time
Song of pines
Friend of mine
With you, I will lie

2. Wrath of the Barked Ones (11:17)copyBelow dark skies, they consume the world
The barked ones bring the prophesied destruction
The roaring winds, now reavers of all
Beat strong in the almighty winter’s heart
This barren land, life atrophied
As time tears the flesh from bone
The dawn is dead, a broken promise
Will night ever be appeased?
Their twisted roots, grasp of undying
Clings on, as they bring forth death
No life to bear, the land now withers
Their wrath takes its final toll
Puts an end to all...
The decaying light of autumn’s last rays
Crawls into the horizon
The reign of the sorrowful cold ones now stands tall
As its plight goes on forevermore...
My time here is done
All my light has been shone
Now but dwindling remains
From a once roaring soul
And not even the stars
Can shine for me now
As I slowly ascend
Up into the dawn -
3. Altar of Oblivion (09:49)copyA derelict grove
Frozen soil where lies below
Summer’s rotting tomb
‘Twixt icy streams
Remains of a fruitless spring
Where frost shall reign
Where all grew green
Now corpses of ghostly sheen
Lay still in eternal screams
A desert of snow
Chokes all that will try to grow
In unending woe
Light shines...
Light wanes...
Light dies...
Light gone.
Shrouded in darkness, still is the air of this stagnant grove
Death surrounds it all, like walls of a crypt
Spires of misery, figments of decay
Bow to the night, bow to the cold, or be swept away
Deathly xyloliths, nightmares cased in eternal ice
Snow incarcerates all that was before
Withering pillars, idols of attrition
From temples of growth, now an altar of oblivion stands tall
Sylvan choir, swaying their limbs in the moonless night
Screaming elegies, below silent stars
Wooden worlds forever still in December’s gloom
Days devoid of life, no light to atone
Spectral murmurs, chilling the air like a frozen wind
Their only haven, the cold of the stones
Winter chaos, unending blizzard and blackened sun
Come the promised dawn, at last it will rise
At last I see the light shine through the clouds, oblivion is no more
Flooded by gold,
Sun’s coruscations and heavenly glow
Reviving me and my windswept soul
The stars remind me that the night is darkest before the break of dawn
But through the unending dark
They and the moon have shown the way through winter’s scorn...

«Natura Semper Praevalet»: The cold breath of northern latitudes comes to life in this work, transforming into a majestic ode to the inevitable triumph of the elements.
The music constructs a bleak landscape where time grows thin and biting frost blankets the remnants of former warmth. Before us unfolds a monumental shift of eras: from the final gasps of autumn to the absolute dominion of the ice giants.
This is a journey through forsaken groves and petrified forests, locked in the grip of an eternal December. As the sun fades, giving way to an endless blizzard, nature sheds all human scales, stripping back to reveal its true face - terrifying and beautiful.
At the heart of it all lies the clash of the spirit with primordial chaos, followed by a long-awaited rebirth. The golden glow of dawn pierces the veil of oblivion only when the darkness seems final.
Prepare to cast aside the mundane and feel the taste of icy wind upon your lips, surrendering to the current of this wintry force.
